In the wake of a tough defeat, he revealed that he had not seen his mother or father for over three and a half years due to the war in Ukraine. His words struck a chord with so many of us, reminding us of the immense dedication and hardships players endure to chase their dreams.

Inspired by Maksym’s resilience and incredible sacrifices, we felt compelled to create something meaningful in his honour. The new stadium flag is a tribute to his commitment on the pitch and a statement of unity. It features a bold and striking design, with Ukrainian words at the bottom that translate to “Together to Victory.” The people of Ukraine use this powerful message to unite through these incredibly tough times and embody both Maksym’s journey and the collective spirit of our club and supporters.
